Department Offices are located in the JW Harshbarger Building just 1/2 block west of the Second Street Parking Garage. The Harshbarger Building was renamed in 1993 in honor of John W. Harshbarger and was formerly known as the Old Geology Building, so named when the Geosciences department moved from "old" Geology to the "new" geology building, Gould-Simpson. On campus maps, the two-building complex was known as the Old Geology/Mines Building and numbered #11 and #12 on the map. And, yes, it's still the same building, complete with running cold and cold water taps.
